Today, we’re excited to introduce the newest member of our audiology team: Fernanda Magliaro Aburaya, MSc, Ph.D., ABAC, a board-certified audiologist with a global background in audiological science and a deep commitment to patient care.
With extensive experience in both adult and pediatric hearing evaluations, Dr. Aburaya brings a compassionate and comprehensive approach to every patient she sees.
A Passion for Helping People Hear Clearly
Dr. Aburaya received her undergraduate and doctoral degrees in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology from the prestigious University of São Paulo School of Medicine in Brazil. She later completed her clinical residency at the University of South Florida, right here in the Tampa Bay area.
She holds certification from the American Board of Audiology and is fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish, allowing her to connect with a diverse range of patients and families.
Her specialties include:

- Advanced assessment of complex pediatric hearing concerns
- Fitting and managing hearing aids
- Auditory evoked potentials
- Mentorship and supervision of audiology students
